What is deep hole drilling?
Deep hole drilling is the process of machining holes ten times deeper than the hole diameter.
The use of this process is possible in metal (from aluminum to superalloys) and has a wide range of applications in various types of industries, such as moldmaking, oil and gas industry, aerospace, heavy industry, among others.
This process involves the use of BTA Drilling and Gun Drilling, with additional processes designed specifically to meet very narrow tolerance limits and allow a high degree of precision and accuracy.
The main challenges with deep drilling are the efficient coolant control and metal chips removal. Failure involve a waste of time and material.
CHETO offers 5 in 1 solution: one machine for five processes as deep hole drilling, standard drilling, milling, tapping and boring. Get to know our range of products here.
